Prof. Michael Birnhack is Associate Dean for research and Professor in Law, at the Faculty of Law.
His research focuses on information law: the relationship between law and technology. In particular, he explores the right to privacy in a variety of contexts. Birnhack won several ISF grants, as well as MoST and ISOC grants, and the University’s Cyber Center grants.
He participated in two Horizon2020 projects, and is an ethics expert for the EU. He was a member of the Israeli Privacy Council, and a co-founder of Privacy Israel.
