Research Interests:
Dr. Levin's areas of interest deal with multifaceted appearances of the conjunction of social policy, social justice and practices in social services, going out from and developing critical social theories, and on the basis of diverse methodologies.
With regard to COVID-19, her research focuses on the impact of the ramifications of COVID-19 on social services, in terms of: the needs and changing realities of users of social services; the reactions of services and the practices and practice models being developed to deal with the ongoing harsh social implications of the pandemic; and aspects of local and national social policy affecting services' ability to provide necessary assistance to those in needs, as well as services' preparedness toward coping with the long-term consequences of the current crisis and future, similar, crises.
