Research Interests:
Isaac Sasson is a lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, head of the Demography Research Lab at the Boris Mints Institute, and member of the Herczeg Institute on Aging at Tel Aviv University.
He holds a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin and was a postdoctoral fellow at the London School of Economics, prior to joining Tel Aviv University.
Dr. Sasson's research has been published in leading scientific journals including Science, JAMA, and PLOS Medicine. Currently, he studies the relationship between COVID-19 mortality and age, and is a team member of COVerAGE-DB, an open access database of confirmed COVID-19 cases, deaths, and tests by age and sex in over 100 countries.
