Elad Segev is an associate professor in the Department of Communication at Tel Aviv University.
Research Interests:
His research focuses on international communications, globalization and Americanization processes, the digital divide, web analytics, and Internet data mining applications. In recent years, it has been using advanced methods for analyzing computerized text in order to discover patterns in the information flow in the world and its effects on the image of countries as seen in the news arena, information searches on Google and social networks. He recently received funding from the National Institute for Health Services Research and Health Policy to investigate the Israeli press coverage of the corona crisis in the world and its impact on Israeli policy.
